Cookies are small pieces of information saved by your browser. ABBC uses essential cookies for your preferences and secure dashboard access. Optional analytics and YouTube media are off until you choose to allow them.

Essential cookies

• abbc_preferences: remembers your analytics and media choices for 180 days. It contains the choices, their version and when you saved them.
• Admin session cookie: keeps authorised dashboard users signed in. Its name is set by the server. The default session inactivity limit is 120 minutes.
• XSRF-TOKEN: supports protection against forged form requests in the Laravel dashboard. Its expiry follows the session configuration.

Essential cookies do not require enabling optional categories. Blocking them in your browser may prevent dashboard access or remembering preferences.

Optional site analytics

With permission, the site sends the current page path to its own analytics service to count views by page and day. This feature does not set a visitor-tracking cookie or collect page query strings. It is disabled when your browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Google Analytics and Meta Pixel do not load on this site.

Optional YouTube media

Allowing media enables requests to Google/YouTube for previews and video playback. Embedded playback uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain, but that does not make playback free of third-party data processing. YouTube may use cookies or browser storage under its own policies; their names and lifetimes can vary. See Google’s cookie information.

Change your choices

There is no automatic cookie pop-up. Opening the website does not enable optional categories. Use “Allow YouTube and watch” beside the About video to enable media, or open Cookie preferences in the footer to manage both categories.

Open cookie preferences to accept, reject or choose optional categories. Videos are removed and future analytics requests stop when you turn those categories off. We cannot remove cookies set on another organisation’s domain; use your browser settings to clear those.

Your choices expire after 180 days. Clearing cookies or using another browser will also require a new choice. A change to the preference version may require you to choose again.
